We all know about the Bud Light “Jimmy Johnson -Little game of football” commercial.
But did you know that their was also a “Budweiser ELECTRIC FOOTBALL League”
Last summer, I found this game set on FB Marketplace for sell in Douglasville, GA. This was the first time I had seen this game or even knew of its existence.
I knew that Miggle had produced another promotional game set, two of which I already owned .
Both of these games were made in 1997 and as far as I know the only promotional games of this type made. The Snickers game is fairly common (5 available on ebay today) but the Budweiser game is a lot more rare ( ebay search produced no results). Yesterday I found a listing for a Budweiser Electric Football Game on letgo.com but today I couldn’t find it. It was different than the one I have (wish I had saved the pics) so I don’t know if there were others or not.
Promotional games are just another small part of the history of electric football and “preserving the buzzzzz …”
