Electric football is everchanging and evolving. The biggest change and greatest evolution that is currently taking place is in the number of companies and individuals that are making available a wide range of 3-D printed electric football figures.

One such person is Charles Bahringer with his new line of Buzz-Line Figures. I recently added some of his figures to the collection of the Museum. I was extremely impressed with the quality of these figures.
I asked Charles if would provide some background information and what led him to create these figures and make them available to the electric football community.
Well, I’ve been a jewelry designer my entire adult life. So my background in the arts is there. I’ve been sculpting jewelry and working with 3D programs and printing for many years. My younger years, high school, I was always playing electric football games during winter nights in Wisconsin. I would create teams and make up players, have drafts and play the seasons. Stats and all. I have a box with all of my old teams and one day my son brought it over to me and we looked through it all telling my stories about each team and players. So, after doing some research and seeing how far everything has come, I thought that I could design and print my own figures. After making my first figure of Jordon Love I was hooked. People started asking me to make them some and it evolved into a side business to my jewelry business. My figures continue to evolve and get better as I get deeper into it. The EF community is a fun group; the support has been amazing.
Cheers!!!

I have already seen other Electric Football Artist using these figures to custom paint teams. Here are some Houston Oilers painted by Kyle Nutt.

Thanks, Charles, for creating these figures and providing the information for this post. Good luck and much success in your entry to the Electric Football Community.
