Long before traditional Electric Football was invented and introduced by Tudor Metal Products in 1949 (and long after) board games were the way to enjoy simulated games of football and other sports.
In addition to electric football games, I have long been a collector of football and other sports board games. I remember my Dad having several different types of baseball and football games such as a Jim Prentice Electric Baseball Game that my brother and I would play with at times. He also bought us several different other games as we were growing up.

My two favorite football games to play besides electric football was the Ideal All-Pro Football and Sports Illustrated Paydirt Games pictured above.
I also enjoyed playing this “Win, Place and Show” Horse Racing game made by 3M.
You can find out more about some of these games by visiting the Board Game Collection of the Collections Gallery . Updates will be made to these sections in the near future and as I acquire more games to add to this collection so check back often.
Thanks, Chris LeMay
