Some of you may remember the ESPN “30 for 30” documentary featuring the Charlotte Electric Football League and its founder John DiCarlo.
On Friday, March 27, 2026, it was announced in a Facebook post that the league would be ceasing operations. Here is a document featuring that announcement and some of the comments and replies.

It is becoming more and more obvious that as those of us who have been involved in this great game and hobby become older that we are going to have to come to the realization that we can no longer function as we have in the past.
Although unfortunate it is just a fact and the reality of life but until that time comes, please –
“Keep on buzzin'” and “Just have Fun and Play the Game”.
