With coaches preparing to head to California to attend the “Fault Line Rumble” TOC Tournament, I am reminded that the weekend between the NFL Conference Championships and the Super Bowl was the traditional weekend of the Miggle Toys “Annual Official International Convention and Super Bowl of Electric Football”
The first convention that I attended was the 1999 4th Annual Convention held at the Holiday Inn City Line in Philadelphia, PA.
This is where I first met Michael and DeLayne Landsman, owners of Miggle Toys and Ira Silverman of Silverman Marketing & Media Group, the “genious” behind marketing the Miggle conventions.
It is also where I met some of the legends of the game and hobby who later became and still are long time friends and the mentors (most notably Myron Evans, DavidNickles and Steve Graham) who helped me along in my electric football journey which is now entering its 21st year. Reviewing this issue brought back some great memories of fun, fellowship and great competition. (Click on the link above to download a copy of this issue.)
It is the plan of the NEFGM to maintain a library of these historical issues of “Plugged In” in its archives. We need your help in accomplishing this.
