Happy Holidays from the NEFGM

Christmas Tree Display featuring games and game boards from the past.

From its beginnings, ELECTRIC FOOTBALL has always been one of the most popular gift items to give or get for the fans of the game. There is nothing more exciting than waking up on Christmas morning and finding a new electric football game under the Christmas tree from Santa.   Tudor Games still manufactures and sells the latest games and NFL teams.

A recent trip to a local toy store revealed the electric football games that this Authorized Tudor Games Dealer had to offer. This is a store that I go to every year, before Christmas, just to see what they have and then, after Christmas, to see what they have left and to hopefully get a good deal on any leftovers or returns. Typically toy dealers that sell electric football games only sale the games during the Holiday Shopping Season of Nov. 1st – Dec. 24th.

Earl Shores and Roddy Garcia, the authors of The Unforgettable Buzz , also authored a book titled the Electric Football Wishbook.

The Electric Football WISHBOOK is available for purchase at amazon.com

This Tudor Games AFL Electric football game is like the one that I received for Christmas, in 1968, this was the first game made available to feature AFL teams. and this one featured the Jets and Chiefs. Interestingly the Jets were the only team offered in a white jersey uniform prior to the AFL – NFL Merger in 1970.

This Christmas there will be many more Electric Football games found underneath the Christmas tree in many homes of electric football game fans of all ages. It is a favorite of the generation of game and hobby enthusiast that grew up in the 1960’s and 1970’s who received their first electric football games during this time of the year and a favorite for them to give to their grand kids in hopes that they will enjoy the games as much as they did.  I am one of those people!! I gave my grandsons a game several years ago. O course it helps that their Grandpa is the Founder of the National Electric Football Game Museum.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the NEFGM!!!
