Herbert Smith Collection added to the NEFGM Library

Recently received a collection of ephemera from a long time EECTRIC FOOTBALL Game and Hobby Enthusiasts Herbert Smith.

These are some early historical documents predating my 1999 experiences with the game and hobby and before I began to get more involved on a national level.

Miggle Toys started their official newsletter in the Spring of 1994. Apparently, this gave rise to several other EF related Newsletters, this was also prior to the rise in popularity of the internet, Miggle’s Website and Chat Board Forum, Facebook and other online social networking platforms.

The Read Zone is a publication of Bill and Mark Klingbeil, winners of the first two Miggle Toys Super Bowl of Electric Football Championships, and owners of “In the Zone” Figures and EF Accessories more widely known today as ITZ Bases.

“Outside the Lines “ is a publication written by Jim and Annete Jackson originally published in April of 1996.

“Power Play” is a publication of the Oxford Electric Football Club by Steve Graham, David Nickles, and Gary Pate.

I hope you will enjoy these historical documents and that they will help you to learn more about the very rich history of this game and hobby. And please, if any of you should have any other copies of these publications, I hope that you would consider donating them to the NEFGM Library or at least send them to us so that we can scan them and make copies of them.

Thank You,

Chris LeMay
